An Inukshuk is a structure of stones, one on top of each other, often built in the frozen far north.
Used as a reference or sign post for navigation, the structure mirrors the spirit and reverence of Canadian friendship and community.
I came across this one by the Slocan River in British Columbia.
Painting this gave me such joy and connection to my roots.

INUKSHUK was painted in the summer of 2020 in Florida!
It is 18" x 24" x .75". Painted with archival oil paints on Centurion Linen.
The back is signed 'Yvonne V. Wagner' and titled on the back.
"Y. Wagner" was etched into the wet paint on the lower right of the canvas.
The painting is offered unframed.
The sides are painted a solid grey blue as the water in the upper area. No need to frame.
This painting's strokes are loose and contemporary.
Finished with Winsor Newton Varnish.

INUKSHUK arrives ready to hang with a sawtooth hanger, nail and instructions.
This keeps the painting flat to the wall and level.

All paintings are created by me and stored in my smoke free studio.
ORIGINAL OIL PAINTING - one of a kind - not a print.

Ships from West Palm Beach, Florida; Insurance and tracking are included.
Will ship to Canada.

Art is forever.
